Old and New Combined to Create Luxury Living

Desco added another luxury residential scheme to its portfolio this week with the official completion of London Square’s Hayes development in Bromley.

Desco’s Croydon team designed the M&E engineering services for the luxurious properties which comprise of new build and the redevelopment of a Grade II listed property.

The gated residential complex on West Common Road includes fifteen elegant detached and mews-style homes with a range of three to five bedrooms. At the heart of the development the Grade II-listed Belgrave House has been sensitively restored to create eight premium two bedroom apartments.

Careful selection of engineering equipment for Belgrave House has ensured that the aesthetics of the heritage property have not been compromised. Furthermore all of the properties feature the latest in home security technology and energy efficient design.

Desco adopted a design strategy for the housing scheme which embraces passive design and uses air source heat pump technology to provide all heating and hot water for the site; this has resulted in a predicted CO2 emissions rate which is 25% lower than building regulations requirements, delivering energy efficiency for the property owners.
