Desco is pleased to announce that Stewart Park has joined the Desco team in the role of Associate Director. Stewart joins us from TGA Consulting Engineers; prior to that he worked for Cundall, WSP and White Young Green. He brings with him a wealth of experience in project management and design across a range of sectors including commercial, retail, leisure and sport, residential, education, custodial and health.
To further support the growth and development of Desco, the board is also delighted to announce the following internal staff promotions:
Simon Martindale has been promoted to Technical Director in the Sunderland office. A Chartered Engineer with a string of award-winning projects under his belt, Simon will take responsibility for leading one of the practice’s Sunderland based teams delivering projects throughout the UK.
Nazir Mawjee has been promoted to Principal Mechanical Engineer. Nazir is based in our Croydon team and since joining the company in spring 2016, has developed a broad-ranging project portfolio covering residential, commercial, retail and transport. His proven capabilities have earned him the promotion and he will now undertake a lead role on projects, with responsibility for mentoring a number of junior engineering staff. 
Adam Waites has been promoted to a Senior Engineer role. Mechanical engineer Adam, has been with Desco since 2008 and has developed a comprehensive project portfolio across a range of sector types including education, R&D, industrial, residential, leisure and retail. Based in the practice’s Sunderland office, Adam will undertake a lead role on projects in his new position.
