Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen Donation
Desco raising much needed funds for local soup kitchen
Each year Ryan Tough organises a football predictor game “Last Man Standing” which many of the Sunderland office take part in.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the affect it had on the football season they we were unsure as to how they would finish the game with the uncertainty around the end of the season. They had already accumulated a rollover pot of £200 and rather than splitting the winnings between them they all agreed to donate it to help a local charity.
Along with additional donations from other members of the Sunderland staff they raised an amazing £600 and kindly donated it to Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen.
The local charity is ran by a group of volunteers and supports families in dire need of food parcels and basic necessities which has been a life line for many families in these difficult times.
The Team at Sunderland Soup Kitchen were very grateful and wanted to pass their thanks on to everyone who donated.
