Updated Part L Building Regulations
The updated Building Regulations came in to force on 15th June 2022, including amendments to Approved Document Part L.
The new Part L regulations are a stepping stone to the Future Homes & Buildings Standard which are expected to be published in 2025 and are part of the Government target to reduce the UK’s carbon emissions to net-zero by 2050.
They largely focus on new non-domestic buildings but also include policies for existing non-domestic buildings and new and existing housing.
Our Sustainable Engineering team have prepared a presentation capturing the salient points of how the changes will effect building design, construction and operation and have been presenting to many of our clients and industry colleagues.
