The team will now be invited to join the other regional winners at the Constructing Excellence National Final in London in November, providing the opportunity to receive further recognition on a national level.
Congratulations to all involved in the project and we look forward to the National Awards in November.
The judge’s provided the following comments on the winning project;
“The winning project is a game-changer and the first privately funded centre of its kind in the UK. This project demonstrated excellent teamwork and collaboration leading to it being delivered on time, within budget and with exceptionally high levels of safety. Focusing on the end users needs throughout the project, the finished building settles into a quiet lakeside location to provide an overall feeling of calm, putting the patient at the heart of the process and optimising their journey at a time of illness and stress. The project team effectively managed an international team to deliver an excellent project for a client with no experience of the new build construction process.”
