Desco's Class of 2019 Louise Gifford and Summer Balmer
Graduation is a major life accomplishment and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate both Louise Gifford and Summer Balmer who have successfully completed Degrees in Engineering and Graduated from Northumbria University.
Firstly congratulations to Louise Gifford in Obtaining a First-Class Degree in Building Services Engineering from Northumbria University. Louise joined Desco in July 2017 as Trainee Mechanical Engineer, she spent the first part of her degree as a full-time student and then transferred onto a part-time basis. She continued studying on a day release alongside her role in one of Desco’s Design Teams in our Head Office in Sunderland.
Congratulations to Summer Balmer in obtaining a 2:2 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering also from Northumbria University. Summer joined in June 2017 as a Trainee Electrical Engineer within one of the design teams in our Head Office. Summer started her degree on a part time basis so she could combine her studies with her working life and attend university on a day release basis.
We are all very proud of both Louise and Summer’s achievements and how they continue to progress as engineers within Desco, flying the flag for females in the industry and encouraging young women into the profession, so well-done girls.
