On Friday May 3rd, along with over 200 guests, a team of representatives from Desco attended the G4C Awards Evening held at the Crown Plaza in Newcastle, where our colleague Ryan Tough was announced as the 2019 G4C Student of the Year. There were five individuals shortlisted under the category, two were awarded Highly Commended with Ryan the overall category winner.
The judges praised Ryan for his academic achievements and his dedication to the progression of young people within the built environment. We are all thrilled for Ryan, a well deserving winner.
“Ryan has excelled at his academic work, achieving outstanding marks in his final year project and demonstrating exceptional presentation skills. Starting as an Apprentice and working his way up through the ranks to Engineer, the winner has demonstrated excellent communication skills when working on projects and particularly with clients. And that’s not to mention their work with schools and mentoring young people in the industry. Only someone with true dedication to the industry would be able to achieve so much so quickly”
