Projects Shortlisted for BCO Awards 2020
We were delighted to hear that 3 of our projects in the North have successfully been shortlisted for the upcoming Regional BCO Awards.
The three projects, Benton Park View, Tombola House and Reckitt Benckiser Science and Innovation Centre, have all been recognised for their innovation, top quality design and functionality.
In Newcastle, Benton Park View has been shortlisted in the Refurbished/Recycled workplace category. As part of HMRC’s Future Workspace Regional Centre Programme, the £50 million transformation works on the 31,017sq ft workspace now offers a modern, agile working environment with a range of meeting facilities and working zones, as well as including new gender-neutral washrooms.
Shortlisted in the Corporate Workplace category is online gaming giant Tombola’s new headquarters, Tombola House, in Sunderland. The £8 million project features a number of innovative designs including the use of electrochromic glass; an electrically tint-able glass that can be directly controlled by building occupants to maintain energy efficiency.
Also shortlisted in Corporate Workplace category is the Science and Innovation Centre for Reckitt Benckiser (RB), in Hull. The multinational consumer goods company recently moved into their new £105 million refurbished 10,000m² offices and R&D facilities.
The winners will be announced at the regional awards ceremony on 26 April in Manchester and will then go on to the national awards later in the year.
